ASPCA Disaster Response – Animal Disaster Funding Collaborative to Provide Critical Hurricane Ian Grants
Timeframe: Open now - November 30, 2022
The Animal Disaster Funding Collaborative – a collective of animal welfare groups across the U.S. (A Kinder World Foundation, the ASPCA, Petco Love, Petfinder Foundation, and PetSmart Charities®) – is currently accepting applications from animal welfare organizations that were directly impacted by Hurricane Ian.
Groups impacted by or responding to the disaster can submit one grant application through a centralized website, which will be reviewed jointly by the five granting organizations. The grants are open to animal shelters, rescues, sanctuaries, food banks, animal hospitals, social services organizations, and government agencies that assist pet owners or animals. Applicants must have been directly affected by Hurricane Ian or have been officially requested to assist an impacted agency to be eligible for the grants.
Application guidelines are available on the Grant Opportunities page. Organizations are encouraged to apply early as the review process will take place on a rolling basis to help expedite funding distribution.
The ASPCA is committing up to $150,000 towards Hurricane Ian response grants.
Note: These grants are not provided for disaster preparedness.
